Precast (also known as “prefabricated”) construction relates to buildings where the majority of the structural components are produced in plants located away from the building itself, then transported to the site for assembly. These components are manufactured using industrial mass production methods that allow for a large number of buildings to be constructed in a short time and at low cost.
